Buleleng (North Bali) is home to the north coast’s 2 biggest cities – the colonial capital of Singaraja and the pretty beach town of Lovina. It’s also home to an array of hidden natural attractions. You can find a string of stunning beaches, excellent scuba diving and impressive mountains inland.
Highlights unique to the area include dolphin-watching tours in the calm seas off Lovina, nature reserves, magnificent temples and a collection of fine waterfalls dotting the highlands. The area is less explored compared to the south coast, but there’s a wealth of things to see in North Bali if you’re up for an adventure to see ‘real Bali’.
